Introduction
The Teletubbies via ferrata is the natural beginning of the Olmo-Soler via ferrata, and progressing there we can reach from the foot of the sheet of water (if the reservoir is full) to the Hermitage of the Virgin of la Pertusa, at the top of a buttress with fantastic views of the Canelles swamp and the south face of the Mont-rebei gorge, in the Montsec mountain range.
This is an ideal via ferrata to start with. Two via ferratas that we link but it is not necessary to do the second one if you don’t want to.
The first part, the Telettubies is short, easy and beautiful and the second part, the Olmo-Soler is a path equipped with chains, which follows the cut of a magnificent ridge to the hermitage. It is a classic of the area and one of the first to be created in this territory.

Scale of difficulty of via ferratas:
Eduard Hüsler (1944) created this classification in 2007. He thought that something was needed to indicate that this classification was about a via ferrata, to avoid confusion with other classifications such as mountaineering ones, so he added the letter K ( from Klettersteig, via ferrata in German), changing the letters to numbers.
It is the scale most used today:
-
- K1: Easy
- K2: Little difficult
- K3: Something difficult
- K4: Difficult
- K5: Very difficult
- K6: Extremely difficult
This graduation depends on 4 factors:
-
- Necessary force
- Endurance and physical fitness required
- Mountain and climbing experience
- Psychological issues and risk management
In general we can say that up to K3 level anyone who knows the proper progression techniques is physically able to do a ferrata. From K3 and especially from K4, a certain degree of physical condition is required to be able to overcome the difficulties that arise with guarantees of enjoying the atmosphere.
